No Politics, Aikia means “Independent”

Back in 1973, our founder decided to leave his politically oppressive organization and develop a new independent concept for martial artists. Now you can become part of the Aikia world international network.

1. •Aikia has championed the concept of mixing arts independently for those teaching the arts of karate, taekwondo, tangsoodo, hapkido, kickboxing, ken(m)po, and other stand-up fighting arts that use the standard kyu/gup colored belt grading system. We can help you evolve your art, skills, and teaching methods.
   

2. •We created the industry standard for grading Dan exams by video, saving you hundreds of dollars for rank advancement.
   

3. •We were the first to produce a manual to assist instructors in recruiting new students and provided it at no cost to our instructor members. Put into practice the methods taught in our school marketing program and you will grow your school.

Let’s face it, most organizations make their profit on the sale of dan ranks. It is not uncommon for an organization to charge $100, $200, $300 or more per Black Belt dan level.  Member schools are then pressured to host the “Grandmaster” for a seminar and a promotion. They are often required to buy videos, order uniforms etc. Dan promotions are often given to those that spend the most. None of that takes place when you join Team Aikia.

You register your entire school for only $100. We do encourage you and your students to proudly wear the Aikia patch ($5) and to register their  student rank with the national organization ($3). That’s it!

When you are ready to advance in Dan rank your test is absolutely free.

In Aikia rank is an honor, not an expense.

This manual has been used by more than 1,500 schools and is now available in book form from Black Belt Books. 7. •As an instructor member you have authority to order student patches, rank certificates and Black Belt certificates.

How to join

Complete the application and include a copy of your Dan certificate and your application fee of $199. There is no renewal fee as long as you are actively signing up members and using the Aikia kyu/gup certificates. Does all this sound too good to be true?
